As I’ve grown in my journey as a counselor, there are a few important truths I’ve come to understand. First, asking for help is not easy. It takes courage to admit we’re struggling, whether it’s fear of what others might think or denial within ourselves. But the truth is, it’s okay not to be okay. Life is like a river full of twists and turns, and sometimes, especially when it feels like we’re caught in the rapids, we need a guide.
Second, growth is rarely easy and never linear. Sometimes it feels like we’re moving forward, only to take a step back—and that’s okay. Everyone’s journey looks different, and comparing ourselves to others only holds us back. Along the way, we may stumble, and that’s when a helping hand can make all the difference. Growth can be uncomfortable, but it leads to strength, clarity, and lasting change.
Third, when we bottle up our emotions, they often explode, sometimes in ways we don’t expect or toward people who don't deserve it. There are no good or bad emotions; emotions just are, and learning how to feel and process them is essential.
Therapy isn’t a place where you come and get “fixed.” It is a journey, and if you’ll let me, I’d be honored to walk that path with you as a co-explorer. One day we'll look back and see not just the progress, but the resilience it took to get there.
I’ve built my life around one belief: to leave the world better than I found it. That’s why I do what I do. I want to make a genuine impact in the lives of those I help, because at the heart of it all, I believe in healing, growth, and connection.
Outside the counseling office, you can find me enjoying the outdoors—hiking, paddle boarding, or relaxing at the beach. I also love reading, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with my sweet puppy, Winter.
